24 Aug Pink Floyd’s The Wall staging using green screen video production

Østre Gasværk Teater has collaborated with Mediehuset København’s green screen studio to bring Pink Floyd’s iconic album “The Wall” to life on the theater stage. This groundbreaking production merges green screen video production with modern technology and creativity to create a theater experience that goes beyond the ordinary.

In Mediehuset København’s green screen studio near the central station, Østre Gasværk Teater has pre-produced several video productions. These videos will be integrated into the performance using combined video projections, where the “stitching” technique is employed to seamlessly blend live actions and virtual visual elements in an immersive manner. An experience truly in the spirit of Pink Floyd.

Simultaneously, this staging is a historic event as it marks the first time Pink Floyd has granted permission for the performance of “The Wall” in a theater setting. The agreement has been made directly with Roger Waters.

The performance “Another Brick in the Wall part 5,” a dream come true for any rock enthusiast, will have its world premiere at Østre Gasværk Teater on Friday, September 22, 2023.
